Written mid 1950s Go Set a Watchman was Harper Lee’s debut novel which was never published and assumed lost. Lee’s publishers were completely captivated by Scout and her childhood and asked Lee to focus her story on that, thus To Kill a Mockingbird was written.

Set in the mid-1950s featuring our favourite To Kill a Mockingbird characters twenty years later. Scout, now known as Jean Louise Finch, returns home to Maycomb to visit her father. Now living in New York Jean Louise is struggles with personal and political issues as she tries to understand her father’s attitude towards society and make sense of her own feelings about the place where she grew up.
