JRR Tolkien’s Novels of course
Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan
The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King (classified as a Western Fantasty)
There are so many, many more!
Oooh and not to forget Skulduggery Pleasant series!
The Wheel of Time – Rob Jordan (Brandon Sanderson) – I have read this over and over and over again and it is always an amazing read
Their are so many, but right now it has to be The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
There*
The Hobbit by J R Tolkien – what a read
Bone Season & The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon
Can’t wait for the next one in the series!!
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Throne of Glass Series &
Red Rising Series
I’m starting the Throne of Glass series today!! exciting!
Queen of Shadows was the best one of them all.
It would have to be a tie between Cinder and A Court of Thorns and Roses. They’re both so well-written and different.
I agree!!! Loved them both so much!
For me, it’s a toss-up between Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. ^_^
Loving Sarah J Mass at the moment!
The Wrath and The Dawn!!! One of my favourite reads this year by far!
Does Harry Potter count?
Shadow and Bone aka Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo is excellent! The Fire and Thorn series by Rae Carson is amazing. The Winner’s Curse series by Marie Rutkoski my most favourite ever…
I have too many to choose from!
Harry Potter totally counts!!
I forgot to add on Robin LaFevers Grave Mercy series! Really awesome!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas! I am desperate to read the second one that has just come out 😀
The second one is soooooooooooooo good! Finished it yesterday! Loved every minute of it!!
No question here, its between :
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (All I can say is … WOW – writing style & story)
The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (Part of the Kingkiller Chronicles, A MUST READ)
The sword of summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard) by Rick Riordan
Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R Ward
I’ve read them all…looooove them 😀
ANYTHING by Sheri S Tepper, from her post-apocalyptic Gate to Women’s Country, to her high fantasy masterpiece The True Game.
Harry Potter for sure! An absolute fantasy classic in my mind!
It is a tosh-up between Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor and Eldest by Christopher Paolini. How do I choose just one??? -_-
You cant make me choose… why, why?? 🙁
– Throne Of Glass Series
-ACOTAR Series
– The Lunar Chronicles
– Shatter Me Series
Without a doubt my favourite Fantasy Fiction has to be The Night Circus By Erin Morgenstern. The true magic which she captured in that book was what made it stand out so perfectly for me.
HOW CAN I ONLY CHOOSE ONE?
If we’re talking, ‘childrens’ literature definitely Harry Potter (J.K.Rowling) because without this series I wouldn’t read ANY books – let alone fantasy!
YA – This is a tough one! But my favourites are still The Faerie Guardian (Rachel Morgan) and The Mortal Instruments (Cassandra Clare)
Adult Fantasy -The Wheel of Time (Robert Jordan)
Love most of Robin Hobb’s books, but right now I am reading Derek Landy, Skulduggery Pleasant.
Favourite Fantasy book(s) are:
Skulduggery Books
The Song of Albion by Stephen Lawhead (any books written by him)
The Hobbit is definitely up there, but I was also pretty fond of Wizard’s First Rule by Terry Goodkind.
So Tough but I think for me The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Claire is still sitting top of the list. Still wish there was never an end to these books ….
Man, so hard. Harry Potter hands down though.
And Any Pratchett. And also War of the Flowers by Tad Williams.
Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series
i heard this saying that says choosing a favourite book is like choosing a favourite child.
but i will try :D.
the entire Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, specifically the conclusion, City of Heavenly Fire.
Harry Potter!!!
Harry Potter
Fantasy is one of my favorite genres by far. A Courts of Mist and Fury dumped me in a reading slump because it was amazing!
Recently started The Crown’s Games set in Russia that’s super awesome.
Then there’s The Wrath and the dawn, game of thrones, An amber in the ashes, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
I could go on and on and on 😁
Favorites:
Harry Potter (always and forever)
Twilight
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Eragon Series
